One of the greatest artists to have lived, Pablo Picasso is strongly associated to Modern Art. Thousands of paintings, drawings, ceramics and sculptures came from his creative hands in a career spanning over 75 years. He certainly dominated 20th century art like no other artist.
A brilliant student, he started painting at a very early age. The Blue Period was followed by the Pink Period, he then moved to Paris where he developed the Cubist style, along with a few of his friends, Matisse, Miro and Bracque.
Some of his famous works include Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (1907) and Guernica (1937). His last words were: "Drink to me, drink to my health, you know I can’t drink any more.”
